In terms of LJ::TextMessage? Yeah, I guess I won't be working on it anymore. Having said that, it's been abandoned largely for LiveJournal's new SMS thing that they have with, uh, is it Amp'd Mobile or something?

I'll miss LiveJournal, but doing things this way is much better for me in many ways.

Mainly because LiveJournal's syndication isn't that great, and cross-posting gets people used to me being off-site. I'll probably change that in the future, but for now it works for me.

Why leave LJ, but then dupe your entries back to LJ?

Perhaps another solution would be to syndicate the Atom/RSS feed from WordPress back to LJ via http://www.livejournal.com/syn/ and get people to "subscribe" to your RSS feed that way.

But then, I don't know how easy it would be to edit/monitor/delete entries pulled in by Syndication compared to dual-publishing.

Or is dual-posting only a temporary solution to get your LJ friend list used to the idea of you being elsewhere, and give them time to update/subscribe via their own methods?
