   The kit will restore your BIOS. I was told that if you call them, explain the problem, they can send out a proper kit to you for cheaper price.

   Which kit, BIOS Recovery or OEM BIOS kit? They’re closed at the moment so I can’t call them, grr. I need to get this sorted asap as it’s not even my computer.

   It’s fine and has been for months. I flashed the BIOS update, which went fine, and then hit f1 to reboot as the tool said, then the system just restarts every 5 seconds and doesn’t bother searching for a floppy.

   I probably used a completely wrong BIOS update, but even so, I thought you were supposed to be able to recover failed BIOS flashes…

   If you backed up the old BIOS, you should be able to.

   Try clearing out the CMOS by pulling out the battery and wait for about 30 mins. Also use the jumper to clear it out too.

   Yeah, I’ve backed up to original.bin on the floppy and have the autoexec.bat and the flash tool ready to go but it’s not seeking the floppy.

   I’ve ripped out the battery anyway, as you said. Are you gonna be around on AIM/MSN tonight? If so could you IM me? (Info on my LJ userinfo)
